Hermanus at a glance

Hermanus is a town on the southeast of Cape Town, in South Africa’s Western Cape Province. It's known as a whale-watching destination. There are some beautiful beaches known as Voëlklip Beach and the spacious Grotto Beach, overlooking Walker Bay. The Old Harbour Museum is a site across-the-board of the old harbour, a fishermen’s village and the Whale House Museum. The building has informative displays and a suspended skeleton of a whale.

Things recommended to experience: Heaven on Earth Horse Trails. Stand Up Paddle Boarding Hermanus, Walker Bay Sea Kayaking. Ataraxia Mountain Wines.

Restaurants in the area include Benguela Cove Wine Estate, Betty Blue Bistro, Bientang's Cave and Bouchard Finlayson Vineyard.
