AUTHENTIC AND TRADITIONAL FARM LIVING PREMISED ON FREEDOM, SUSTAINABILITY AND HARMONY WITH NATURE

With more than enough space for big (and small) pets and ‘free-range’ children to run around, this is freedom the way it used to be. The 480-hectare Fairview Estates offers wholesome, nature-based living on smallholdings of between 2 and 20 hectares. Fairview farmers can live off the grid and enjoy sustainable ‘farm-to-fork’ living by growing their own produce and living off their land. Hobby farming is encouraged, and with a community trade exchange and diverse small-scale farming support systems offered, you can truly live the artisan way of life.

Fairview Estates is surrounded by a best-in-class security electric fence with zoned alarms throughout, powered by solar, providing a safe environment for our community
of farmers and their families to experience the freedom of living with boundless open spaces. Access is controlled through a secure gatehouse that is manned 24 hours a day by professional security staff. The gatehouse security is in regular communication with an active patrol team who is ready to assist within a moment’s notice.

Fairview Estates is well on its way to becoming completely off-grid to break from any dependence on Eskom or municipal services. Fairview Estates is unique in that it has already built a domestic water scheme that provides water from the multiple boreholes across our 480ha estate to each property. Furthermore, all homes will dispose of sewage through approved septic tanks. With regards to electricity, the developers have installed a bulk electrical meter and hi-tech metering systems to manage the estates power demands. This is the first step in the roll out of their plan to build a community solar farm to take the estate off-grid. It also allows all Farmers to provide for their own power needs through their own rooftop solar. Secondly, customers may, should there be excess demand, sell their power into the estate’s grid. With water, power and sewer covered, all that is left is for you to focus on the important things like harvesting your own fresh vegetables and collecting fresh eggs from your chicken coop, for true self-sustainable living.
